- Direct Capture x-ray - eliminates the need for films and sends x-ray images directly to our computerized photo archiving system.
- Nuclear Medicine - three separate units help physicians detect abnormalities in the heart or brain using radioisotopes and specialized cameras.
- Neurosciences Center of Excellence - featuring the latest in diagnostics and treatment for all brain and spine-related issues, including minimally-invasive surgical techniques, and physicians specializing in migraines, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders.
- Flat-Panel, Bi-Plane Angiography Suite - the only suite of its kind with CT capabilities, our neuro-interventional radiologist utilizes three-dimensional views of the brain to coil aneurysms and return normal blood flow to the brain, retrieve blood clots in the brain via a catheter in the groin, and administer tPA to stroke patients directly into the affected area.
- Cardiology Center of Excellence - offering a complete array of diagnostic capabilities, including the VCT scanner, as well as several new treatment options:
- Atrial Fibrillation Repair - Fort Sanders is the only facility in the region to have both a surgical (Epicor) and catheter-based (Ensite) approach to treating atrial fibrillation.
